When I travel I always travel for a week at a time, and stay at a condo,
where there is a clothes washer. So taking a lot of clothes is not nessessary. This backpack is large enough for 3 skirts,1 pair of capris,6 summer tops,1 zip-up hoodie,1 beach towel,bathing suit,underwear,2 pairs sandals,and a bag for personal care products. The small detachable backpack is perfect for the liquid bath products and extremly convenient when checking through security at airports. By having the two zipped together before bording it is one bag, therefore you can have an additional carry-on. When you get to your seat just un-zip the little pack and they both fit in the over-head bins,and you keep the third bag at your feet! The airlines have lost my checked luggage on two different trips, taking the joy out of traveling. So when I found this piece I knew I would not have to check luggage again unless I wanted to!
I did not use the big bag as a backpack but I looked at the straps and they are made with quality materials, and I know I won’t hessitate to use it in that cappacity. My daughter is planning a trip through Europe next year and has already asked to borrow mine. Shhh,,, don’t tell her, but she is getting one for her college graduation!!!

My husband bought this bag for a 25 day trip to Europe. He packed enough clothes for the trip. The size made it great for traveling during the trip. The suitcase is a perfect size for fitting in the overhead bin. The dayback is the perfect size for keeping with you on a plane and to use as a daybag while sightseeing. The suitcase with the backpack zipped on fits nicely in European taxi cab trunks. The bag is two years old and is holding up beautifully.
I just bought another one for my use.
This is a great travel bag for folks who like to travel, carry on their luggage and not be overwhelmed by a bulky suitcase.

I bought this suitcase upon the recommendation of a friend who has an older model. I love this suitcase. I tend to be an over-packer and this holds much more than a tradition small suitcase. I usually travel for about a week at at time and have managed to fit: 2 pairs of jeans, 3 skirts, 2 dresses, 5 t-shirts, 5 tank tops, 2 sweaters, 3 pairs of sweatpants, panties, socks, 2 pairs of shoes in the large rolling part. The zip off day pack is FANTASTIC for holding full size toiletries. I manage to get full size: shampoo, conditioner, 2-body washes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hair brushes, and medium sized make-up bag. I can also put a couple smaller books in there. The front zip pocket on the day pack holds my iPod, camera, contact lenses case, glasses case and batteries. As you can see, it holds a lot of stuff. It is incredibly durable and have had no problems with zippers busting or seams coming apart like I have had with less expensive suitcases.
I have not found a better suitcase for the money.

i AM AN OVERSEAS CONTRACTOR, I’VE USED MANY BACKPACKS, BUT THIS STYLE IS THE BEST!! SINCE IT’S WHEELED IT IS VERY EASY TO MOVE AROUND AND WHERE YOU CANT PULL IT AROUND I JUST USE THE STRAPS AND WORKS PERFECTLY FINE ALSO. I JUST WISH IT HAD MORE PADDING. I USUALLY PACK ALL THE ITEMS I NEED FOR 3 OR 4 DAYS TRAVEL AND IT FITS PERFECT, THE IPOD COMPARTMENT IS GREAT TO!I ALWAYS CARRY A FULL LOAD SO WHEN IM READY TO BOARD THE PLANE I JUST DETACHED BOTH BACKPACKS AND SLIDE THE SMALL ONE THRU THE HANDLE OF THE WHEELED ONE. I’VE HAD NO PROBLEMS FITTING THESE CARRY ON BACKPACKS ON ANY PLANE! THEY FIT IN ALL BINS NO MATTER HOW SMALL AS A MATTER OF FACT THE BIG ONE IS THE MAX ALLOWED ON AIRCRAFTS THESE DAYS..I EVEN CARRY MY LAPTOP COMPUTER IN HERE WITH NO PROBLEMS..THE SMALL ONE IS GREAT FOR ALL YOUR ESSENTIALS LIKE PASSPORTS, PENS, IPOD, A SWEATER, JACKET, WALLET, AND SECURITY CHECK ITEMS LIKE PERSONAL HYGENE STUFF AND MAGAZINES. I THINK ITS THE BEST OPTION OUT THERE RIGHT NOW.

This bag is great for carry-on only flyers. Plenty of room for as much as 4 days of changes of clothes. Removable backpack is very comfortable to wear. However, it could use a a couple more pockets or reorganization of the spaces in it’s compartments. The backpack’s big pocket’s opening makes it a little difficult to get thing in and out. Overall, I’m very pleased at how functional and smoothly this luggage works. The handles are very soft and comfortable for when you need to carry the big bag.
